Branch Accountant

About the role

Danube Building Materials is hiring a Branch Accountant in Ras Al Khaimah to join its Finance & Accounts team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role oversees all branch-level accounting activities, ensures accurate recording of cash and cheque receipts, carries out thorough reconciliations and delivers accurate financial reports that support the branch's operational health and compliance with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch accounting operations and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Record and deposit daily cash and cheque receipts accurately and promptly.
• Perform cash, bank and intercompany general ledger reconciliations regularly.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Issue receipts, refunds and exchange documents in line with established procedures.
• Carry out monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities within set timelines.
• Maintain and update prepaid and provision schedules monthly.
• Work with internal audit and corporate finance to uphold internal controls.
• Assist in branch budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in branch or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE GAAP and relevant tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and numerical accuracy skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
• High integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
