Budget Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Budget Officer to support the preparation, monitoring, analysis, and administration of organizational budgets and financial plans. The role involves maintaining accurate budget information, coordinating submissions, and working closely with various departments to strengthen budgetary discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of annual departmental and organizational budgets and develop budget templates.
• Collect, review, and consolidate budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets, prepare budget‑versus‑actual reports, and analyze variances.
• Support budget revisions, reallocations, and supplementary funding requests with proper approvals.
• Maintain budget data in ERP and financial‑planning systems, perform data validation and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and HR on budget allocations and expenditures.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting for management meetings and support rolling forecasts.

Required profile

• Strong experience in budget management, financial planning, and management accounting.
• Ability to analyze variances, identify risks, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
