Senior Accountant

About the role

ABC Cargo UAE is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities within a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, month‑end closing, and financial reporting.
• Perform bank, branch, and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections reporting.
• Prepare cash‑flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Support UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance and coordinate audit requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate ERP accounting records.

Required profile

• M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, UAE VAT and corporate tax.
• Experience in cargo, courier, logistics or transportation is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
