Business Data Analyst – Data Platform & Governance

About the role

Nagarro is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to join a high‑impact data transformation engagement for a financial services client in Abu Dhabi. You will work within a specialist consulting team delivering modern data platforms across cloud and on‑prem environments, focusing on data products and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and define business and technical requirements for a modern data platform.
• Facilitate workshops and translate complex requirements into clear deliverables such as BRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Support the design, rollout, and ownership of data products, including SLAs and data contracts.
• Contribute to data governance frameworks covering quality, lineage, classification, and policies.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams in an Agile environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or data governance.
• Proven ability to work across business and technical teams in complex programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience defining requirements for data governance or data product models.
• Financial services exposure is beneficial but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Databricks/Lakehouse concepts (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Purview).
• Exposure to on‑prem data platforms such as Cloudera.
• Understanding of data governance/catalog tools (Informatica Axon, Collibra, Alation, Purview).
