Business Development Manager - Brand Acquisition - Retail

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in luxury retail and brand acquisition to support the growth of our retail portfolio. The role will identify and evaluate new international and emerging brands, build relationships with brand owners, lead commercial negotiations and coordinate the end‑to‑end acquisition process through onboarding and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and source international, luxury and emerging brands that align with the company’s strategic direction.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and financial modelling to assess commercial potential and develop business cases.
• Build and manage relationships with brand owners, founders and agents, and lead negotiations on distribution, exclusivity and commercial terms.
• Monitor fashion and retail trends to uncover growth opportunities and continuously develop the brand portfolio.
• Lead the end‑to‑end acquisition process, coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing project timelines, risks and deliverables.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, pitch decks and business cases for senior management and external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail brand acquisition, business development or commercial partnerships.
• Proven track record of scouting and acquiring international or emerging luxury/fashion brands.
• Strong understanding of luxury fashion and retail dynamics, including brand positioning, distribution models and pricing.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and business case development capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Marketing or related field preferred.
