Business Development Manager – Plant Software Product Line

About the role

DNV is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Plant Software Product Line in the energy sector. Reporting to the Plant Growth Manager, you will shape market entry strategies, build relationships, and drive revenue for new and existing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
• Develop and execute market entry and go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, positioning and promotional plans.
• Support the Growth Manager in defining and implementing the overall growth strategy.
• Generate high‑quality sales leads, qualify business opportunities and hand them over to the sales team.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Provide product teams with customer feedback and market insights.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and product development to implement growth initiatives.
• Leverage networks across other business areas to explore new market possibilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales within software, plant, or energy‑related markets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and support rapid decision‑making.
