Business Development Representative

About the role

Thomson Reuters is hiring a Business Development Representative in Dubai to build a career in software sales. The role sources and qualifies leads within the Tax & Legal businesses, working with a market leader and a world-class sales organization to prospect legal, corporate and government entities and promote cloud solutions. It offers a base salary, variable pay linked to results, training and career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed monthly and annual targets, daily contact targets and activity metrics.
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to design campaigns that generate qualified opportunities and convert them into revenue.
• Log all activities and customer contacts accurately and promptly in Salesforce.
• Coach and learn from colleagues, and adapt quickly to new situations.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn new products and skills quickly and to work under pressure.
• Schedule that fits customers' working hours.
• Preferred: a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and previous BDR/SDR or lead-generation experience.
• Preferred: experience selling tax software, SaaS or tax/accounting solutions, and prior use of a CRM such as Salesforce.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer skills and navigation of Microsoft applications and other business software.
• CRM usage (Salesforce preferred).
