Business Intelligence and Planning Specialist - GTX

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Business Intelligence and Planning specialist for its Global Transaction Banking (GTX) unit in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on key performance metrics across sales, products and channels, management information on value, volumes and trends, and the preparation of management reports and dashboards to support Business Performance and Business Management initiatives. It works closely within GTX and with other internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support data collection, analysis, report compilation, MIS and dashboards for GTX's financial and non-financial data.
• Work with GTX teams, DAAI, Business Finance and others to cover all data touchpoints.
• Contribute to new ideas, projects and initiatives, and recommend improvements to the quality and accuracy of information and reports.
• Update internal files such as deal pipeline, call report summaries, DRC deals and deal communications, keeping documents confidential.
• Review and re-engineer existing MIS and reports, and attend internal meetings with complex reporting needs.
• Guide team members on MIS and periodic reports, and help prepare strategy, business, financial and MIS presentations.
• Take ad-hoc tasks such as offsite and event support, complete mandatory training, and liaise with Business Finance, DAAI, GTX Solutions & Advisory, Products, Channels, Business Continuity, DLP and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
• Fluent English (business); Arabic preferred.
• Good knowledge of the banking sector, ideally Global Transaction Banking (Cash Management and Trade Finance).
• Self-motivated, able to handle confidential information accurately, and willing to take a hands-on approach.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Power BI, data warehouses and dashboard tools.
