Butler / Personal Companion (Married Couple)

About the role

A private family in the United Arab Emirates is looking for a highly capable, experienced and trustworthy married couple to manage and support the daily personal and household needs of two elderly individuals. The couple will oversee a network of residences across the UAE and internationally, providing logistical, operational and personal support. The position is full-time and requires living in the residence.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact and companion to the male principal, ensuring his comfort, routine and security, especially during travel or moves between properties.
• Handle personal logistics such as appointments, errands, packing and unpacking, and grooming arrangements.
• Coordinate transportation and drivers, keeping vehicles maintained and ready.
• Travel with the principal domestically and internationally, liaising with travel providers, hotels and service teams.
• Oversee meals, refreshments and guest hospitality.
• Monitor compliance with medical schedules and provide a first response in medical incidents (First Aid certified).

Required profile

• Bachelor's or diploma in Hospitality, Business Administration, Travel and Tourism, Healthcare or Private Service.
• 10+ years in a Butler, Valet or Personal Assistant role within a private household.
• Experience supporting elderly individuals with sensitivity and care.
• Fluent English; Arabic, French or Spanish is a plus.
• Valid international driver's licence; non-smoker, no dependents or pets, clean background checks and verified references.
• Must be a legally married couple with prior experience working together in similar roles.

Required skills

• Well-versed in etiquette, formal service and professional standards.
• Strong physical stamina and availability 24/7 while in residence.
• Comfortable supervising teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and managing household apps, inventories, calendars and communications.
• First Aid certification is mandatory.
