Buyer (Mechanical, Electrical & Industrial Parts)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Supply Chain & Procurement team in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for mechanical, electrical and fabricated parts that support engineering and manufacturing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for mechanical, electrical and fabricated components according to project Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Monitor PO confirmations, track supplier delivery schedules and keep data updated in the ERP system.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers to clarify specifications, expedite critical deliveries and resolve invoice or shipping issues.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups on open purchase orders to support factory production schedules.
• Align procurement timelines with project milestones and escalate material risks or potential shortages.
• Participate in BOM reviews to ensure accuracy of part numbers, lead times and pricing.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or tactical buying, preferably in heavy machinery, manufacturing, industrial equipment or oil & gas services.
• Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials, engineering drawings and technical part specifications.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong negotiation, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed global organization.
