Buyer - Procurement (EPC / Oil & Gas)

About the role

A Buyer is needed in Abu Dhabi to carry out all purchasing activities under the guidance of the Purchasing Coordinator or Head of Purchasing Department. The role covers procurement of assigned materials and services, starting on 1 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for assigned materials and services.
• Float RFQs, obtain quotations and conduct commercial evaluations within required deadlines.
• Prepare bid tabulations, CBEs and purchase recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to achieve cost savings and required delivery dates.
• Issue and follow up Purchase Orders until acceptance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Expediting, Inspection, Logistics and Accounts teams.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Support vendor development and supplier performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years of procurement experience in EPC / Oil & Gas projects in the UAE and international markets.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MS Office and Excel.
• ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Supervisory, inspection, coordination and reporting skills.
