Fleet Procurement Manager - Rental & Leasing

About the role

Hertz Al Futtaim is looking for a Fleet Procurement Manager to manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement of fleet vehicles, trucks, industrial equipment, vehicle modifications, conversions, accessories and related services. The role covers competitive tendering, commercial evaluation, contract negotiation, supplier governance and timely delivery, supporting fleet availability, business continuity and long-term value across rental, lease, mobility and industrial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with approved fleet plans and forecast monthly and yearly vehicle inflow.
• Ensure cost savings and rebates according to the agreed purchase plan and department cost-saving strategies, and assist the Head of Asset & Fleet with the annual purchase plan.
• Build category-based strategies for vehicles, modifications, industrial equipment and strategic business plans, consolidating requirements and recommending the best sourcing model.
• Maintain relationships with manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, negotiate pricing, delivery timelines and contractual terms, and build a competitive supplier base.
• Conduct supplier due diligence covering financial stability, technical competence, capacity, quality systems, regulatory compliance, after-sales support and business continuity.
• Prepare internal notes and purchase proposals, ensure adherence to delegation of authority, audit guidelines and VAT compliance, and work with Finance, Logistics and PRO teams on registration and delivery.
• Monitor fleet mix, utilization and remarketing plans, track pending LPO cases, and control costs through KPIs such as utilization and delivery timelines.
• Ensure vehicle details are correctly uploaded into the system once a vehicle or asset is onboarded.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in fleet procurement or automotive purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and automotive specifications.
• Analytical skills for cost optimization and risk management.

Required skills

• SAP, CarPro and fleet management systems.
• MS Office and Power BI.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
