Buyer – Procurement for HVAC Manufacturing

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for procuring materials needed by production and other departments, ensuring timely delivery that aligns with the production schedule. This includes negotiating price, lead‑time and payment terms, as well as sourcing new suppliers and products in collaboration with Procurement Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchasing requirements for accuracy, terminology and specifications.
• Generate and place purchase orders, and follow up with vendors to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate with Material Planner to determine optimal purchase quantities.
• Maintain daily PO tracking reports and produce monthly purchase value and supplier performance reports.
• Source new suppliers and products, manage sample testing, and liaise with Engineering, R&D, QA/QC and suppliers.
• Obtain multiple quotations, analyze buying trends, and report on lead‑times and price variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of planning, purchasing and logistics policies and practices.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and ERP software.
• Experience in HVAC manufacturing is preferred.
