Buyer – Procurement & Inventory Management

About the role

Wesco is looking for a proactive Buyer to manage purchase orders, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain optimal inventory levels. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support the company’s supply‑chain operations in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Place and authorize purchase orders within assigned limits, following company guidelines.
• Expedite orders, track shipments, resolve shipping errors, and communicate delivery status to relevant departments.
• Review daily purchasing reports, determine appropriate quantities, and generate purchasing documents for suppliers.
• Execute stock replenishment, special orders, and drop‑ship purchases while optimizing cost, order minimums, and transportation modes.
• Maintain accurate purchase‑order data, including quantities, costs, notes, and terms.
• Handle electronic data interchange (EDI), automated stock replenishment (ASR/VMI), and other electronic ordering methods.
• Analyze supplier performance on delivery, fill rates, and shipping errors, and support negotiations for excess or inactive inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 1 year of purchasing experience within a supply‑chain environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
