Buyer / Purchaser – Procurement Specialist (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Buyer / Purchaser to join our Procurement team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports Field Service, Workshop, and Engineered Solutions by providing efficient procurement and logistics services for goods, services, vendor management, and training coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an approved vendor database and procurement records for accurate reporting.
• Conduct vendor evaluations, competitive supplier analysis, and manage tenders for goods and services.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms while managing contractual risk.
• Review purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and confirm vendor acknowledgements.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
• Approve purchase invoices and resolve supplier, invoice, delivery, and PO queries.
• Report vendor performance, risks, and procurement issues to management.
• Coordinate external training services, organize field‑service training, and maintain certification records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Relevant procurement experience, preferably in mechanical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation.
• Technical understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, specifications and quality requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
