Buying Trainee – Luxury Fashion (Emiratisation)

About the role

Join Chalhoub Group as a Buying Trainee for Lacoste and gain a front‑row view of how fashion, product, and commercial decisions shape collections for luxury customers. This Emiratisation traineeship offers hands‑on exposure to the full buying cycle, blending creative fashion instincts with analytical retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update buying Excel trackers to keep product and purchasing data accurate.
• Support the development of seasonal assortment plans and related presentations.
• Assist in product selection, analysing past performance to influence future buys.
• Identify repeat‑buy opportunities and contribute insights on product needs.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to monitor stock deliveries and ensure timely store replenishment.
• Conduct online and in‑store competitor research to spot trends and customer preferences.
• Participate in market visits to understand regional customer profiles and preferences.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid Family Book.
• Academic background in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Analytics or a related field.
• Strong interest in fashion, retail operations and market research.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and comfortable asking questions.
• Ability to balance creative thinking with analytical and commercial considerations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of Pivot Tables.
• Familiarity with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
