Cadet Technician Programme – UAE Nationals Only

About the role

The Cadet Technician Programme is a two‑year, hands‑on training pathway designed for UAE nationals to become licensed Aircraft Technicians with Etihad Engineering. Participants will combine classroom theory with on‑the‑job experience across multiple aircraft types.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the GCAA‑approved aircraft maintenance technician course and maintain a minimum 75% pass rate on all module exams.
• Undertake supervised on‑the‑job training, logging work in the schedule of work (logbook) and meeting all performance and safety requirements.
• Pass mandatory technical competency assessments and adhere to Etihad’s safety, health and airport procedures.

Required profile

• UAE national (valid family book), aged 18‑29, with a high‑school certificate (Maths/Physics/Science) and at least 60% overall.
• Strong command of English and, for males, completion or exemption from UAE National Service.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, outdoors and wear the Etihad Tech uniform.

Required skills

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician Course (GCAA approved).
• Understanding of aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and safety procedures.
