Captain – A320

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced A320 Captain to join its modern fleet based in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operation of each flight while upholding the airline’s high standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown.
• Lead flight and cabin crew, ensuring effective crew resource management and decision‑making.
• Maintain operational efficiency and environmental responsibility in line with company fuel and sustainability policies.
• Deliver consistent on‑time performance to meet reliability and guest‑satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5,500 total flight hours, including at least 2,500 PIC hours on multi‑crew glass‑cockpit aircraft.
• At least 1,500 PIC hours on an A320 family aircraft, flown within the last 12 months.
• Valid A320 type rating (minimum 2 months remaining at joining) and unrestricted ICAO ATPL.
• Current Class 1 medical, unrestricted A320 rating, and age under 59 on start date.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) – Level 4 or higher.
