Captain – Airbus Wide‑Body Aircraft

About the role

Etihad is seeking an experienced Captain to command its modern Airbus wide‑body fleet from its hub in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operation of each flight while upholding the airline’s high standards of professionalism and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown.
• Lead the flight and cabin crew, ensuring effective crew resource management and decisive decision‑making.
• Maintain operational efficiency and environmental responsibility in line with Etihad’s fuel and sustainability policies.
• Deliver consistent on‑time performance to meet reliability and guest‑satisfaction targets.
• Ensure the safety and security of crew, passengers, cargo and aircraft at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 7,000 total flight hours.
• At least 2,500 PIC hours on jet multi‑crew, new‑generation aircraft equipped with EFIS, including 2,000 hours on wide‑body types.
• Valid UAE pilot licence or ability to obtain one.
• Demonstrated leadership, professionalism and adherence to safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System) on modern jet aircraft.
• Extensive experience operating Airbus wide‑body aircraft.
