Captain – Airbus Wide‑Body Aircraft

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Captain to lead operations on its modern Airbus wide‑body fleet. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and on‑time execution of each flight while upholding the airline’s high standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Assume ultimate authority for the safety, security and efficient operation of every flight.
• Command the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown, ensuring compliance with all procedures.
• Lead and coordinate the flight and cabin crew, applying strong decision‑making and crew‑resource management.
• Operate in line with fuel‑efficiency and sustainability policies.
• Maintain consistent on‑time performance to meet Etihad’s reliability commitments.

Required profile

• Minimum 7,000 total flight hours.
• At least 2,500 PIC hours on jet multi‑crew, new‑generation aircraft equipped with EFIS.
• Minimum 2,000 PIC hours on wide‑body aircraft.
• Valid commercial pilot licence and type rating for Airbus wide‑body aircraft.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System).
• Wide‑body aircraft operation expertise.
• Experience in jet multi‑crew environments.
