Captain Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Accor is looking for a Captain Waiter/Waitress in Dubai. The role promotes and ensures guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous service and strong team leadership, while maintaining a positive image in all guest interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and ensure guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous service and strong team leadership, keeping a positive image in all guest interactions.
• Manage floor operations efficiently, ensuring operating standards match the Departmental Operations Manual and established service levels.
• Assign responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance to maintain service quality and outlet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in front-of-house and back-of-house areas, liaising with Housekeeping and Stewarding on cleaning schedules.
• Handle guest complaints, requests and enquiries about food, beverage and service professionally and discreetly.
• Oversee inventory management, including monthly and quarterly checks of equipment and supplies, and control requisitioning and storage.
• Liaise with Kitchen and Beverage on daily operations, quality standards and promotions.
• Ensure strict adherence to cashiering procedures and financial controls.
• Work with all departments and contribute to departmental communications meetings.
• Carry out reasonable tasks assigned by the Food and Beverage Department efficiently.

Required profile

• 3-4 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
• High school diploma, vocational hospitality diploma or degree.
