Cardiovascular Technologist

About the role

A highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist is sought to join a team in Abu Dhabi, within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks known for exceptional patient care and state-of-the-art facilities. The role covers advanced cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, supporting physicians during interventions and ensuring high-quality patient care. Experience with pediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, including echocardiography, vascular studies and cardiac catheterization, as per physician's orders.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures and obtain relevant medical history.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain complex cardiovascular equipment.
• Assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient status throughout the procedure and respond promptly to changes or complications.
• Document and report findings accurately, keeping complete patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and quality assurance standards.
• Stay up to date on emerging cardiovascular technologies and techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
• Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a hospital or specialized cardiac center; pediatric case exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
