Cards Reconciliations Manager

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is hiring a Cards Reconciliations Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role executes the section's operational activities, manages risk and delivers service to internal clients according to agreed SLAs, while supervising a team and supporting reconciliation services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fast, disruption-free service to customers using agreed non-BAU and escalation matrices, and submit reports to the MIS team on time.
• Authorize manually matched items with value date differences and inform the relevant departments; verify monthly reconciliation reports and archive records.
• Track daily issues and operational risk through tick lists, account lists and traffic-light reporting.
• Control unapplied credit, unpresented and unclaimed accounts, and manage exception management interfaces and escalations.
• Support automation projects, coordinate with ITD on system changes, and establish non-BAU reporting for escalated items.
• Supervise the team: guide and train juniors, share knowledge, promote values and ethics, and implement policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate statements and reports, highlight high-risk transactions, and advise management on business change strategies.
• Escalate risk-related issues to the AVP, keep accounts balanced, maintain account lists and SLAs, and ensure outstanding exceptions are resolved.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, Commerce and Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, including at least 5 years in similar managerial positions with progressively greater responsibility in core processing.
