Career Counselor

About the role

The PostADNOC Schools are seeking a high‑performing Career Counselor to support students in their personal, academic and career development. This role involves guiding students through university choices, career pathways and post‑secondary transitions within a US‑based curriculum environment in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on university selection, career pathways and skills for future success.
• Track student progress and deliver tailored support to achieve academic and career goals.
• Assist with university applications, recommendation letters, personal statements and other post‑secondary paperwork.
• Organise and coordinate career and university guidance events, maintaining a calendar of key dates.
• Develop relationships with local and international post‑secondary institutions, alumni and community partners.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in school counseling or related counseling role.
• Bachelor’s degree (QFE 7) in any subject and ongoing CPD compliance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism and emotional energy.

• Organisational and administrative abilities for managing applications and events.
• Effective communication and engagement with students, parents and external partners.
