Cargo Operations Agent - Safety

About the role

Emirates SkyCargo is a world leader in air cargo, serving over 140 destinations across six continents. As a Cargo Operations Agent in the Safety team you will ensure efficient, quality handling and processing of cargo, courier and mail while maintaining strict safety and security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct a team through handling and processing of cargo, courier and mail in line with safety, quality and efficiency standards.
• Provide safety awareness briefings to the team to ensure work is carried out safely.
• Inspect, verify and count goods at delivery, acceptance, breakdown and build‑up, updating shipment details in Skychain.
• Liaise with customs, health and police authorities to ensure timely movement of cargo.
• Ensure handling of dangerous goods complies with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and EU GDP requirements for pharmaceutical shipments.
• Plan loading of cargo into ULDs and bulk, optimise capacity and advise on deviations from uplift plans.
• Inspect ULDs and ancillary equipment, report defects and monitor irregularities, initiating corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in a cargo or warehouse environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of aircraft handling, ramp handling and cargo terminal procedures.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
