CCGT Lead Engineer – Plant Configuration Lead

About the role

Egis Group, a leading engineering and consulting firm in the Middle East, is seeking a senior specialist to provide technical advisory for combined‑cycle gas turbine (CCGT) lead engineering and plant configuration. The role supports developer bid reviews, RFP preparation and ensures compliance with off‑taker requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical advisor for CCGT lead engineering and plant configuration during bid evaluation and RFP/specification preparation.
• Lead technical due‑diligence, verify compliance with project and off‑taker requirements, and identify risks and deviations.
• Prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation, and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration or chartership is highly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in CCGT, IPP, OEM/EPC or owner’s‑engineer roles, with a background in bid evaluation for utility‑scale power plants.
• Demonstrated experience in technical advisory, contract review and commercial awareness of IPP/PPA/EPC schedules.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of CCGT thermodynamic cycle, GT/ST/HRSG integration, simple‑cycle vs combined‑cycle configurations, duct and supplementary firing, cooling system impact and emissions.
• Familiarity with OEM GT/ST technology, plant dispatch flexibility and relevant standards (ASME PTC 22, ASME PTC 46, ISO 2314, IEC/IEEE).
• Proficiency with OEM datasheets, heat‑balance diagrams, P&IDs, GA drawings and Grid Code requirements.
• Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, LD‑linked performance clauses, interface obligations and acceptance testing requirements.
