CCTV Operator

About the role

Fairmont Ajman, a beachfront 5-star hotel in Ajman, is looking for a CCTV Operator to help maintain the safety and security of its guests, staff and premises. The role involves vigilant monitoring of surveillance systems, prompt reporting of incidents and strict confidentiality of security information.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems across the hotel, including guest areas, back-of-house facilities, entrances, exits, parking areas and colleague accommodation.
• Identify suspicious activity, security breaches and safety hazards and report them promptly to the Security Supervisor or Security Manager.
• Maintain continuous surveillance of designated areas to help prevent theft and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control systems and report unauthorized entry or suspicious movement in restricted areas.
• Respond to security alerts, alarms and requests for assistance, coordinating with the security team.
• Record and document incidents according to hotel security procedures, and review and retrieve CCTV footage for investigations when properly authorized.
• Keep surveillance footage and security records confidential and ensure all CCTV equipment and recording systems are functioning correctly.
• Report technical faults, camera blind spots and recording failures, and maintain accurate logs of incidents, observations, faults and shift handovers.
• Assist in investigations into security incidents, accidents, loss prevention and policy violations, and support emergency response during fire alarms, evacuations and medical emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standard operating procedures and data protection requirements, attend briefings and training, and perform other duties assigned by the Security Supervisor or Security Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in CCTV monitoring, security operations or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of security procedures, incident reporting and emergency response protocols.
• Relevant UAE security training or licensing where required by regulation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, video recording equipment and access control systems.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate security monitoring software.
