Chef de Partie – Pastry (Luxury Hotel)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Chef de Partie – Pastry to join the culinary team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, you will lead daily pastry operations, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and execution of all pastry items according to recipes, standards and quality specifications.
• Lead, mentor and coach pastry team members while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.
• Develop and implement innovative pastry concepts and menu items in collaboration with the Executive Pastry Chef.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens and dietary requirements.
• Manage inventory rotation, stock levels and waste to achieve cost efficiency.
• Ensure workstations, equipment and utensils are kept clean, organized and in good condition.
• Communicate proactively with outlet chefs and front‑of‑house staff regarding guest feedback, special requests and dietary needs.
• Participate in shift briefings, share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist with menu costing, recipe development, production planning and photographic documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional pastry experience in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
• Strong pastry techniques, decorating, plating and presentation skills.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, multicultural kitchen.
• Focus on guest needs, calm demeanor and professional attitude.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and allergen management.
• Reliable work ethic with flexibility for shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended hours.
• Organised, detail‑oriented with strong time‑management abilities.
