Chemical Engineer / Industrial Engineer

About the role

The employer is looking for technically skilled, detail-oriented professionals for the positions of Chemical Engineer and Industrial Engineer. Both roles focus on process optimization, engineering analysis, production efficiency, quality improvement and the development of safe and effective industrial solutions. Key responsibilities

• Chemical Engineer: design, evaluate and optimize industrial processes involving chemical materials, production systems and equipment; analyze process data and review process flow diagrams; evaluate equipment performance and identify improvements in efficiency, product quality and resource use; work with production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams on operational issues; carry out process calculations, prepare technical documentation, support equipment selection, monitor process parameters and assess process safety risks; ensure compliance with environmental, quality and safety standards.
• Industrial Engineer: improve production systems, workflows, resource allocation and business efficiency; analyze manufacturing processes and workflows, find bottlenecks and develop strategies to reduce waste and raise productivity; work with production teams, supply chain, quality and management; conduct time and motion studies, review production layouts, analyze operational data, optimize resource use and monitor key performance indicators; contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality enhancement and standardized operating procedures.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, industrial processes, technical analysis and problem-solving.
• Ability to analyze technical data, interpret process documentation and spot improvement opportunities.
• Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to quality, resource efficiency, workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advantageous: familiarity with process flow diagrams, process calculations, equipment evaluation and chemical process safety (Chemical Engineer).
• Advantageous: knowledge of production planning, workflow analysis, capacity planning and process optimization (Industrial Engineer).
• Advantageous: quality assurance, risk assessment, environmental requirements and operational safety.
• Advantageous: CAD software, statistical analysis tools, process simulation or industrial engineering software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for technical reporting, documentation and data analysis.
