Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting function for The First Collection Marina, a luxury hotel in Dubai Marina. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance with UAE accounting standards while supporting operational efficiency and revenue optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all hotel accounting activities, including day‑to‑day operations and month‑end close.
• Lead, coach and supervise the finance team to maintain high standards of performance.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in line with hotel policies.
• Review and authorise journal vouchers before posting.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and sign off statements by the 15th of each month.
• Monitor compliance with corporate policies and UAE accounting standards.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to drive cost control, operational efficiency and revenue optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing accounting functions within the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and corporate finance policies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and revenue optimisation.
