Chief Accountant – Real Estate (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking a senior Chief Accountant to lead accounting operations for its real‑estate portfolio in Sharjah. The role requires deep property‑accounting expertise, fluency in Arabic, and hands‑on experience with the Yardi system.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting for real‑estate properties and corporate entities, including GL, AP, AR, journal entries, accruals, payments and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and prepare property‑level and consolidated financial statements.
• Manage property and tenant accounting – rental income, service charges, deposits, receivables and operating expenses.
• Monitor inter‑company and related‑party transactions and support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow projections.
• Coordinate with external auditors, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and IFRS reporting standards.
• Supervise, review and mentor the accounting team.
• Maintain accurate accounting controls and procedures for acquisitions, disposals, CAPEX, depreciation and investments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 5–8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate, property management or investment firms.
• Hands‑on experience with Yardi accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of real‑estate accounting and IFRS principles.
• Proven track record of month‑end/year‑end closing and audit coordination.

Required skills

• Yardi accounting system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.).
• IFRS financial reporting.
