Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Retail

About the role

A leading international retail organisation is looking for a commercially focused and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based in Dubai, through its partner Kingston Stanley. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will shape the organisation's financial strategy, drive commercial performance and support regional and international growth. The role suits an established Retail CFO or an accomplished Finance Director ready to move into a broader strategic leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and Board on financial strategy, business planning, capital allocation and long-term growth.
• Oversee FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, reporting and financial governance.
• Drive working capital optimisation, inventory management, margin performance and cash flow efficiency.
• Work with buying, merchandising, supply chain and commercial teams to improve business performance.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, expansion initiatives and operational profitability.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting systems, data analytics and technology-enabled processes.
• Lead and develop finance and technology teams across the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience in a large-scale retail organisation.
• Strong commercial understanding of inventory-intensive retail, working capital and profitability.
• Experience in a complex, multi-entity or multinational retail environment.
• Proven ability to engage with CEOs, Boards and senior stakeholders.
• Currently operating as a CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance leader.
