Chief Financial Officer

About the role

UMO is a stealth‑mode FinTech venture building an AI‑powered, unified money platform across fiat, crypto and investments. As Chief Financial Officer you will own the design, build and scaling of the global finance organisation, reporting directly to the CEO and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead banking finance and operations, managing complex financial flows, capital structures and multi‑currency accounting for a retail digital banking model.
• Design and execute a multi‑asset treasury strategy covering fiat and cryptocurrency, overseeing liquidity buffers, working‑capital optimisation and cross‑border cash management.
• Supervise international entity and jurisdictional management, ensuring tax compliance, corporate accounting and bookkeeping across multiple foreign entities.
• Direct regulatory compliance and reporting, maintaining ongoing communication with global financial regulators and managing licensing strategies.
• Head financial planning & analysis, driving long‑term budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling to protect unit economics and profitability.
• Build, mentor and scale a distributed finance team, establishing a documentation‑first, control‑oriented culture that balances risk management with rapid business enablement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in banking finance, preferably within digital or retail banking environments.
• Proven track record in multi‑asset treasury management, including cryptocurrency exposure.
• Deep understanding of international tax, accounting and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and influence company direction.
• Demonstrated leadership in building high‑performing, globally distributed finance functions.
