Chief Legal Officer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Legal Officer to lead legal strategy for a fast‑growing AI‑driven gig‑economy platform. The role is fully remote and reports to senior leadership, overseeing corporate governance, compliance and risk across global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex contracts such as vendor agreements, partnership deals and commercial terms.
• Provide strategic counsel on emerging legal risks in the gig‑economy and AI sectors.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel and representing the company.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with international laws, including data privacy, consumer protection and employment regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a senior advisory role.
• Strong background in corporate law, contract law and regulatory compliance for technology or gig‑economy platforms.
• Experience advising on AI‑related legal issues, data privacy, intellectual property and ethical considerations.
• Proven ability to handle cross‑border legal matters and international regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts for non‑legal stakeholders.
