Chief Specialist - Events and Public Relations

About the role

The Chief Specialist – Events and Public Relations will shape and execute RTA’s event strategy, ensuring each initiative aligns with corporate objectives, brand positioning and stakeholder expectations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide strategic advice on major events, international exhibitions and high‑profile engagements across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve event strategies, participation frameworks and engagement approaches.
• Design governance frameworks, policies, standards and approval mechanisms for all RTA events.
• Lead market‑intelligence and benchmarking activities to capture emerging trends and innovative concepts.
• Advise leadership on event portfolios, sponsorships, strategic partnerships and participation plans.
• Establish performance metrics and value‑realisation models to assess event impact.
• Plan and oversee execution of high‑profile events, exhibitions, ceremonies, launches and media engagements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, government entities, international organisations, agencies, vendors and sponsors.
• Review and approve event plans, budgets, procurement, risk assessments and operational readiness.
• Manage strategic event vendors, ensuring contractual compliance and quality delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 108 months (9 years) of relevant experience in event management, public relations or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale, high‑visibility events and cross‑functional teams.
