Civil Bid Manager – Power Construction Projects

About the role

The Civil Bid Manager will lead the preparation of competitive, high‑quality proposals for power plant construction projects, including SCPP, CCPP, CCPP‑Extension and STPP across designated regions. The role bridges customer negotiations and the hand‑over of awarded contracts to the execution team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse local market conditions and develop bidding strategies.
• Select partners and suppliers, and manage site staffing, permits and security.
• Interpret and comment on customer specifications, define project scope and ensure thorough documentation.
• Perform detailed cost calculations, risk evaluation and mitigation for civil, erection and commissioning phases.
• Lead negotiations with customers, partners and subcontractors.
• Report scope, schedule, costs and risks to EC management and regional business unit heads.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in power plant construction, commissioning or project management, preferably in international settings.
• Civil engineering degree.
• Proven track record of participating in project execution teams for various power plant types.
• Leadership experience in site management or project execution.
• Strong intercultural sensitivity and willingness to be deployed to overseas construction sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with bidding tools such as ACOM, PTT‑PMA and NCT.
• Advanced cost calculation and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary experts during proposal preparation.
