Civil Engineer – Construction Projects in Dubai

About the role

Sky Build Contracting is seeking a Civil Engineer to support planning, execution, supervision and technical coordination of construction works across Dubai. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with UAE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitor civil works such as foundations, concrete, masonry, finishing and related activities.
• Inspect workmanship and materials to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Prepare progress updates, quantity measurements, site records, inspection requests and technical reports.
• Support planning, material coordination, cost monitoring and resolution of site issues.
• Promote safe working practices and report construction risks, delays and non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, site supervision and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural and civil drawings.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, BOQs, measurements, progress reporting and site documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and practical familiarity with MS Office; exposure to project scheduling tools is advantageous.
• Understanding of concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, waterproofing and finishing activities.
• Effective coordination, communication, problem‑solving and contractor management skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites while maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, codes and authority requirements is preferred.
