Civil Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector to join its Dubai team. You will be responsible for continuous surveillance of construction activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The role involves a wide range of testing and inspection tasks across civil and structural works.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate grading, concrete slump, air entrainment, and concrete compression.
• Conduct line and grade surveys, bolt torque verification, and concrete coring.
• Surveil underground piping for tightness, bedding, and grade.
• Inspect piling installation to confirm correct location and bearing.
• Validate piping systems through P&ID checks and hydraulic pressure tests.
• Inspect electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Monitor painting and insulation applications for thickness and coverage continuity.
• Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations.
• Participate in quality‑control reporting, safety practice development, and welder qualification testing.

Required profile

• Diploma (3‑year) or degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, highways, utilities) – preferably in the UAE.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar inspection role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
