Civil Inspector – Water Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Civil Inspector will work on a variety of water‑related infrastructure projects, including sewage, stormwater, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution systems. The role combines site inspections, technical delivery, client liaison and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients and contractors to verify project requirements, prepare inspection reports and maintain site records.
• Perform civil and structural tests, supervise construction labour and subcontractors, and identify non‑conforming works with corrective actions.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, site investigations and basic design calculations in support of engineering solutions.
• Coordinate utility diversions, tendering processes and contract administration while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in sewage and water infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in survey work using modern instruments and maintaining accurate site measurement records.
• Strong ability to generate reports on non‑conforming works and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
