Civil PMC Inspector – Oil & Gas (ADNOC Onshore)

About the role
Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Civil Inspector to join its Oil, Gas & New Energies business on an ADNOC Onshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting, monitoring and verifying all civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications and HSE requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect civil works such as earthworks, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, structural steel foundations, roads, paving and underground utilities.
- Verify contractor compliance with approved drawings, IFC drawings, method statements, ITPs and international codes (ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO).
- Witness and record material tests including soil compaction, concrete slump, cube compressive strength and rebar inspections.
- Review and approve Requests for Inspection (RFIs), raise NCRs for non-conforming work and monitor corrective actions.
- Ensure all activities follow ADNOC HSE rules, PTW procedures and participate in safety toolbox talks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or Diploma) with a minimum of 5 years civil inspection experience in oil & gas or industrial construction.
- Previous experience on ADNOC Onshore or major Middle‑East oil & gas projects; PMC or consultant background is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, civil construction procedures and quality assurance processes.
