Classroom Assistant – Academic Year 2026/27

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Classroom Assistant for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi for AY 26/27 to support its growing family of schools. The role involves supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom, assisting teachers, and promoting the well‑being and development of students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils or groups inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation and promote their social, emotional and physical well‑being.
• Assist teachers in implementing individual education programmes, monitoring progress and maintaining pupil records.
• Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work and help with photocopying and other teaching support tasks.
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other locations, check attendance and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Deliver group or individual academic instruction as directed by the teacher and monitor and correct pupils’ work.
• Promote positive behaviour, support pupils with additional needs and contribute to the development of the school’s behaviour policy.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school certificate; UAE national preferred.
• At least two years of experience working in a school setting.
• English language proficiency in line with the school curriculum.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service or police check.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
