Clinical Dietitian

About the role

A knowledgeable and compassionate Dietitian is sought to join a team in Abu Dhabi, within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks known for world-class patient care and comprehensive clinical services. The Dietitian assesses patients' nutritional needs, develops individualized diet plans and educates patients, families and caregivers to support optimal health and recovery. Experience supporting pediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional needs through clinical evaluation, dietary history and laboratory results.
• Develop individualized meal plans and nutrition programmes tailored to patients' medical conditions and lifestyle.
• Provide nutrition counselling and education to patients, families and caregivers.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust diet plans and document outcomes in line with clinical standards.
• Work with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
• Support patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, obesity and malnutrition.
• Guide patients undergoing specialized treatments (e.g. oncology, renal therapy, paediatric care) with appropriate dietary management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and regulatory standards, and stay up to date with evidence-based nutrition practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or a related field.
• Valid UAE license/registration as a Dietitian, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Ability to work effectively with both adult and paediatric patient groups.
• Candidates outside the UAE are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets and medical nutrition therapy.
• Excellent communication and counselling skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
