Clinical Educator (Nursing) - Abu Dhabi

About the role

A healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Clinical Educator (Nursing) to support the professional development and clinical competency of nursing staff. The educator designs, delivers and evaluates educational programmes that improve clinical knowledge, promote patient safety and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement clinical education and training programmes for nursing staff.
• Run orientation programmes for newly hired nurses and help them settle into clinical practice.
• Facilitate competency-based training, workshops and simulation sessions to build clinical skills.
• Assess and evaluate clinical competencies so that staff adhere to professional standards and hospital protocols.
• Mentor nurses and guide their professional growth.
• Work with nursing leadership to identify training needs and development plans.
• Support the rollout of evidence-based practices and updated clinical guidelines.
• Take part in quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation preparation activities.
• Keep accurate records of training, competency records and staff development plans.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning within the nursing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; a Master's in Nursing, Nursing Education or a related field is preferred.
• Valid DOH license or DOH eligibility as a Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 1-2 years in education, training or mentorship roles.
• Experience in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred.
• Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of clinical standards, patient safety practices and competency-based education.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS/PALS may be required depending on the department).
• Ability to work in a multicultural healthcare environment.
