Clinical Psychologist (Sharjah)

About the role

The Royal Hospital Sharjah is seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. You will provide comprehensive mental health services to patients of all ages, supporting diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect diagnostic data.
• Deliver individual, group, family, and couples therapy.
• Apply behavioral methods for children and adults, planning therapy frequency, intensity, and duration.
• Perform psychometric testing for diagnosis and therapy evaluation.
• Engage in research and educational activities to improve clinical practices.
• Provide advice to community organisations and participate in welfare initiatives.
• Respond to after‑hours or weekend calls for emergencies as required.
• Adhere to DHA regulations, Joint Commission International norms, and international clinical guidelines.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychology experience.
• Current licensure in the country of origin and a valid MOH license to practice in Sharjah.
• Strong knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with intelligence, achievement, interest, personality, and other psychological testing instruments.
