Club Lounge Waiter/ess

About the role

Join the Club Lounge team at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, delivering an exceptional dining experience to discerning guests. As a Waiter/ess you will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure every interaction reflects the brand’s legendary service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the lounge menu, including light meals, beverages and signature drinks, and provide recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate them to kitchen and bar staff, and ensure prompt delivery.
• Address special dietary requests and allergies, informing management and kitchen colleagues as needed.
• Upsell services and products to enhance guest experience and generate revenue.
• Operate the POS system for order processing, billing and table set‑up/clearance.
• Create “wow” moments that surprise and delight guests throughout their visit.

Required profile

• High school qualification preferred; hospitality or business degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a waiter/ess in a high‑volume restaurant or luxury hotel.
• Strong verbal and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Knowledge of accepted dining service procedures and standards.
