Collections Officer

About the role

The Collections Officer will support First Abu Dhabi Bank in managing and resolving collection cases across legal and operational channels. The role ensures timely case handling, compliance with bank policies and central bank regulations, and delivers a satisfactory customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with law firms for new cases assigned to ADGM court and other jurisdictions, tracking progress and updating internal systems.
• Provide backup support for team members during absences, covering criminal, civil, and repo matters.
• Monitor vendor performance, especially for Abu Dhabi cases, and ensure filings meet agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate case records, legal flags, and original file retrieval according to policy.
• Handle escalated collection requests from multiple channels and work closely with Collection and Recovery teams for legal advice.
• Participate in expert meetings, review commentaries, and ensure mandatory training completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of bank policies, central bank regulations, and legal procedures.
• Ability to work independently, set performance goals, and pursue professional development.
