Commis 1 – Pastry Kitchen (Full‑time)

About the role

The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated Commis 1 for its pastry kitchen. This full‑time position supports the pastry team in delivering high‑quality desserts and pastries to guests in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily production sheets with the chef de partie or sous‑chef and prepare required pastry items.
• Delegate tasks when needed to ensure uninterrupted guest service.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, including fridges, freezers, countertops and stovetops.
• Follow opening and closing procedures, control over‑production and minimise food waste.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and report any deficiencies promptly.
• Handle, store, prepare and serve food in line with hotel and government food‑safety guidelines.
• Log all relevant information in the kitchen log book and conduct regular line checks.
• Participate in training junior talent and apprentices, sharing culinary skills.

Required profile

• Demonstrates initiative, a strong desire to improve skills and knowledge, and the ability to work independently.
• At least 1 year of related experience in a luxury hotel pastry environment.
