Commis 2 – Kitchen Six (All Day Dining)

About the role

The Commis 2 will work in Kitchen Six, supporting the All Day Dining operation at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. This position involves preparing steakhouse specialties and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present steaks, grilled meats, and steakhouse specialties while maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Set up and prepare the workstation with all required mise en place before each service.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor stock levels, ensure proper food storage, and follow FIFO procedures.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, temperature control, and labeling standards.
• Minimize food waste and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and food quality problems promptly.
• Assist the Chef de Partie and assume responsibilities in their absence when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a steakhouse kitchen, preferably within a luxury hotel or premium dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and FIFO stock management.
