Commis 2 – Room Service Production

About the role

The Commis 2 supports the Room Service Production team at W Hotels, preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This full‑time, onsite position ensures food is prepared to the brand’s quality and presentation standards for guests on Yas Island.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure correct portioning.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen area, tools and equipment.
• Check and record temperature of appliances and food items.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (portioning, chopping, mixing).
• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
