Commis 2 – Wet Deck Production

About the role

Join the culinary team at W Hotels Abu Dhabi as a Commis 2 on the Wet Deck Production line. You will support chefs by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare and cook hot and cold foods, ensuring quality, presentation and food‑safety standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Monitor food temperatures, test doneness and adjust cooking as needed.
• Follow company safety policies, report incidents and maintain personal hygiene standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a fast‑paced kitchen or food‑service environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
